With the aid of the ECOflame greenhouse weedburners small, as well as large, surfaces can economically be treated against weeds and pests. Next to this, residual leaves can be burned when changing the crops. Because the heat will remain at the surface, other, non-harmful vegetation will not be harmed. With a gas usage of ca.15L per hour and a capacity of 3000 m²/h, the costs per hour will be around 5 cent/m².

In using the ECOflame greenhouse the weed and vermin are exposed to a heat of 900 to 1000 °C. This process is reinforced by the infra-red radiation of the radiation grid and by making sure that the heat will remain in the completely isolated burner compartment. At this temperature the weed cells are heated, the proteins are solidified and the cell fluids escape, which means drying out of the weed. An additional effect is that the seeds will lose their ability to reproduce. Also fungi, trips, snails and algae are not able to withstand the intense heat of the ECOflame greenhouse. That the property around the greenhouse such as the driveway and parking area can be relieved of weed and pests, speaks for itself.
